How the Amazing Ruck Team Challenge Works

CATEGORIES:
Competitive and Non-Competitive

Choose your Challenge
This category is Non-Competitive. Teams consist of 2 or 4 members. Participants must be ages 12 and up.

Team Challenge
This category is Competitive. Teams consist of 2 or 4 members. Participants must be ages 16 and up.

WAVES: Participants will begin in waves.

Team Challenge Waves (Non-Competitive) 7am (10 min apart)
Choose your Challenge Waves (Competitive) 7:30am (10 min apart)

PACK WEIGHT

Choose your Challenge (Non-Competitive) Participants choose weight.
Team Challenge (Competitive) 45 lbs. weight ruck/back pack

Each participant must carry ruck/back pack at all times when transitioning between obstacles. Packs can only be removed at challenge points! Participants must provide their own ruck/backpack and filler. Fillers may include sand, rice, beans, kitty litter, etc.  Packs will be weighed prior to race start and at finish for competitive teams.

CHALLENGE POINTS: Participants will ruck between five challenge points.

One person on each team must complete the challenge. It can be the same person each time or a different person for each challenge. Team members will receive a token (coin, stamp or bracelet) at the completion of each challenge. Five tokens must be provided at the end to show completion of all events.

• Paintball target shoot
Participant must hit required targets to move on to the next obstacle.
• 1-mile Kayak
Participant must kayak a distance of .25 mile out and back twice to complete one mile before team can move to the next obstacle
• Ropes course
Two participants from the team must work together to complete the ropes course.
• Bike for your life
One participant from the team must complete a course on a mountain biking trail for the team to move to the next obstacle.
• Mystery Challenge
Participants must complete a mystery challenge to move on to the finish line.

Participants must observe and remember random number/picture sequences along the route. In the event of a tie, sequence must be accurately recited without the assistance of a phone, picture, etc. in order to win.

AWARDS
Awards will be given to the top three finish times in both two man and four man teams in the Team Challenge (Competitive Category) only.  The award ceremony will take place on event day immediately following the Amazing Ruck races.

Cost

Registration includes a t shirt for the first 100 participants. First come, first served. Sizes not guaranteed. Adult sizes only. Participants under age 18 must have a signed parent waiver. No children under the age of 12 will be allowed on the course. Strollers, wagons, bikes, etc. are not allowed.
