Sierra Beach

Designated "swim at your own risk" beach. 

Life jackets available free of charge.

Boater Safety

All boaters, regardless of age, must complete the Boater Safety Test. 

• IAW Texas Parks and Wildlife Water Safety Act and the Installation require a licensed driver (age 17 or older) and a spotter (age 13 or older) for every motorboat towing a person on water skis, board or tube.

The Recreation Equipment Checkout Center, located within the garrison 14 miles southwest of BLORA, is available to authorized Family and MWR patrons.

Stay for a night, weekend or longer any time of the year. BLORA cottages are comfortable and cozy. Check in after 3 p.m., check out before noon

Cottages are furnished with kitchen utensils, towels and linens. Each has a screened-in porch, barbecue grill, covered picnic table with a bench swing and is located near a playground

Deer, Cedar and Cottage RV Park

We accommodate partial and full hookups with first come, first served sites. Please call for limited available reservation sites. Dump stations are conveniently located near the camping areas.

• $2.50 - DAV per vehicle

• $10 - per vehicle for civilians

Tent Camping

Tent campers need to be set up and in place at least one hour prior to designated quiet hours of 10 p.m. to 6 a.m. Campers who arrive during established quiet hours will be offered an isolated campsite and may relocate the next morning.
